Readwise import improvements

Thanks for your product and the Readwise import option. After trying it I deactivated it again because of two reasons:
1) I don't want my tags to become collections, I have many highlight tags and this polutes my organization in Sublime. Both services serve a different purpose.
2) Readwise import only imports new items but doesn't delete items removed in Readwise.
Regarding
1) I would love a Readwise folder in which all Readwise highlight are stored, a tag-based search system would be great but a tag is not a collection for me, it's more a sort of label.
2) Sublime should remove deleted items.

Jan, thanks for your note. I see the difference between tags/collections. When you import from Readwise, you have the option to deselect all tags such that your Readwise tags are not imported as collections. If you select this option, your Readwise highlights will be imported without tags.
Can you clarify what you mean by deleted items? When you initiate an import, Sublime should not import data you've deleted from Readwise.

Sari Azout Hi Sari, thanks for your speedy reply. Re:1 I missed that feature, great that that exist. I'll reimport. Re:2 When I delete e.g. a complimentary book (with highlights) from Readwise it would be great if those highlights would also disappear in Sublime. Currently that didn't work so I gave me the impression that deleted highlights in Readwise are not deleted in Sublime on the next sync after an initial import?

Jan Peeters: Hey Jan, you are correct. Our integration with Readwise is not two-way – if you delete an item from Readwise it won't be deleted in Sublime.

gabrielThanks for the confirmation. That makes it difficult for me to start using this integration. it will polute Sublime too much to be useful. I'll probably use Sublime as a microblog then and post what I find interesting (also for others). Import only separate highlights or books and let Sublime not pull everything new from Readwise into Sublime.

gabriel Is there a way to delete all imported Readwise snippets? I deleted the Readwise integration but most of my highlights still exist. Would love to batch delete everything in there while I haven't build up my collections.

Thanks for being transparent and surfacing this. Some amazing changes are coming soon (in the next 2 months), and I'd love to get your take when they're out.
