Safari extension disables PDF toolbar
complete
Sara
In the latest Safari with the latest TestFlight extension, PDFs do not show the toolbar at the bottom that enables downloads. Saving a page as something results in a corrupted PDF. This is easily verifiable by viewing a PDF with the extension on, seeing no toolbar, then disabling it and refreshing the page.

Hi Sara quick question - could you try saving the pdf by typing command/control + s? Let me know if that route works to save the PDF
(for some background - we replace Safari's default PDF viewer with our own, and that's why the normal toolbar isn't there)

Alex Dobrenko: it is corrupted 100% of the time. You should not render pdfs as html, because they aren’t. This messed up a number of government forms for me and caused some embarrassment when I attached them to emails and heard later that they were corrupted.
If you want to continue this ill-advised hijacking, make it an option one has to opt into. And most importantly, disclose it!!
